About David Huff
History
David Huff was born on March 4, 1969. The son of educators, he was raised and attended public schools in Augusta, Georgia, graduating from Westside High School. David graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy in 1991. He also studied geochemistry at Georgia Tech, receiving a Masters in Geophysical Sciences in 1993.
Athens Community Professional
David’s early professional career was spent working for environmental consulting firms in Atlanta and Albany, Georgia. He was thrilled to return to Athens in 2000. In 2003, David founded Huff Environmental Consulting, Inc. Located on Gaines School Road, Huff Environmental Consulting currently has three full-time and one part-time employees.
Family
David has been married to Susan Elrod Huff for thirteen years. Susan is an Athens native and a graduate of Cedar Shoals High School. She attended the University of Georgia, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and receiving her Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law. She is currently a full-time mother, busy raising their two young children and doing extensive volunteer work in the community, including volunteering at Whit Davis Elementary School and Rutland Academy.
